I was saying that you can assign an outgoing route for a material *from* a storage facility immediately once you've assigned an incoming route for that material *to* the storage facility. The trick is to work from the 'routes' tab and not the 'storage' tab.

I tested this last night.

Place your storage facility, place the ECU, set up the extractor heads, and route the R0 material from the ECU to the storage facility.

Then, left click on the storage facility.

On the window that pops up, click on the 'routes' button - second from the right, with three arrows.

The top route in the list should be the R0 material incoming from the extractor. Left click on this route. At the bottom of the window, you'll get two rectangular buttons. Click the one on the left labeled 'create route'. This will allow you to create an outgoing route for that R0 material from your storage facility *without* first waiting for an extraction cycle to complete.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4068894994922552535.post-38677282541311491732012-08-08T10:55:29.878+10:002012-08-08T10:55:29.878+10:00My re-reading of the article shows that I have the...My re-reading of the article shows that I have the goods going from extraction into storage then having a break. If there is confusion, I can re-write this.

You can route any item to the next stage (extractors -> storage; factories -> storage).

However to then route storage to the next factory, you need to wait for the storage to have some product.

I recommend always shipping items from a factory or extractor straight to a storage unit (including launchpad) with spare space, so that you do not lose the items.

Factories and extractors with nowhere to send stuff simply throw outputs away.Foohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02444693774790165427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4068894994922552535.post-72444631334753889952012-08-08T02:57:45.171+10:002012-08-08T02:57:45.171+10:00If I recall correctly, it is possible to route to ...If I recall correctly, it is possible to route to your factories without waiting for R0 material to arrive in storage. Once you've routed your extractors, click on the "routes" button on your storage container. You should see your R0 material listed as incoming. If you right click on this you should be given the option to "create route" which you can then use to send material to your factories.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
